We want to be clear about what we do not collect:

3. Information Stored Locally (localStorage)

Markbit uses your browser's localStorage to save the following preferences:

• Theme preference (dark/light mode)
• Language tone preference (Formal, Hinglish, Gen Z, Hindi)
• Recently used tools list (stored as tool key names, not personal data)
• Calendar notes (exam dates, study reminders you add)

This data is stored only on your device and never transmitted to our servers. You can clear it anytime by clearing your browser's localStorage/site data.

4. Contact Form Data

When you submit the contact form, the following data is collected and processed:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your message and query category

This data is sent securely via FormSubmit (a third-party email service) to our private team email. We do not store this data in any database. It is used only to respond to your inquiry.

We do not share, sell, or use contact form submissions for any marketing purposes.

5. Advertising

Markbit currently displays ad placeholder zones (non-active ad spaces). In the future, we may integrate advertising networks such as Google AdSense. When active:

Since we do not store personal user data on our servers, our security footprint is minimal. Calculator inputs never leave your device. We use HTTPS for all connections to ensure data in transit is encrypted.
